Adventure Awaits

This is a mural that I created for my middle school library, back when I was a middle school student. I was inspired by the worlds that books can build - the scary, the fantastical, the dramatic, and the fun! I wanted to create a mural that could be kid friendly, inviting, and an immediate eye-catcher. I had the opportunity to place this mural in a spot where you see it just as you walk in.

The process to create it was quite fun, as I got to employ the help of fellow art classmates, and practically free rein when making the idea become a reality. I first sketched the mural on paper, submitted it, and was fortunately selected! After the selection, I traced my drawing onto a projector tile, and projected my sketch on the library wall. Once projected, I traced with a permanent marker, and got to painting!
